take a step and a deep breathe

kids really get me into thinking what life means, its purpose and the reasons behing your presence on earth. as parents we are trying so hard (sometimes too hard) to be parents who are able to understand them well, after that lead them to be in good way (here comes the religion role) so they know that they will face many experiences good and bad, many people good and bad, but after all, they know which one is the right and best one to choose. I realize it is way too hard to hold this huge responsibility. but take a step and a deep breathe..

Aziza now 20 month-old

Perkembangan terpesatnya memang adalah kemampuan bicara dan sosialisasi yang semakin baik. Kemarin kaget karena dia bilang: mana motongnya 1 lagi? setelah melihat di halaman rumah motornya cuma ada 2, biasanya yang diparkir di sana ada 3. hehehe.. she added her vocabulary for sure. I taught her the English term for things she already knew by showing her books. kata pertama yang berhasil dikuasainya adalah cars!!! kalau yang ini sih gak pernah salah. btw, Izza punya buku favorit kedua sekarang, buku abc, read and slide. Di sampulnya ada gambar abjad abc dan kupu2. She called her book as butterfly book. Sekarang kalo mau tidur maunya dibacain buku Aldo dan butterfly. oia, aku beliin dia poster belajar buah2an dan pekerjaan, ternyata dia suka. kadang2 kalo abis baca aldo n butterfly mash belum mau tidur, minta dibacain ini deh. favoritnya dokteng, koki, pelaut, pak pos n pemadam kebakaran. untuk yang buah2an memang masih sering salah terutama u buah2an yang jarang ditemui. tapi kalau untuk pisang, pepaya, belimbing (yang hampir setiap hari dia makan hehe), durian, anggur (juga minta dipetikin tiap hari padahal asemmnya minta ampuuun), leci, cherry, strawberry sih Izza sudah hapal.

Hordeolum lageee :(

just got incized by hubby yesterday. hiks..it was lot more hurtful than my lst incision. tapi saking sakitnya, anesetesinya banyak banget, sampe hematom ini palpebra. anyway, hubby juga kena hordeolum dan yang menginsisi: saya!!! hahaha we both got hordeolum at the same time. poor us as we both also ophthalmologists.

Aziza's magical world in her 19th month-old

Subhanallah, Aziza now has acheived so much in motoric, verbal and psychosocial skill.

She is now able to jump..hop hop begitu mulutnya bersuara seraya melompat2. Dia sudah berlatih selama 2 bulan terakhir ini dan sekarang lompatannya sudah semakin tinggi dan lebih stabil. Sekarang sedang senang2nya menulis dan menggambar. She already knew the alphabet esp O, I, u, m. She can draw circle and added a line from it and tadaaaa.. Here comes the ballooooonnn!! Hahaha.. I think her dad taught her coz last time she was with me drawing, there's nothing like a balloon came up from her. Alhamdulillah she loved being occupied with books. Her fav story is Aldo the chicken. Mmm..I read to her again n again and she never gets bored of it.

Verbally, Aziza cerewet sekali, senang mengatur. Dia akan bilang kita harus duduk di mana, makan makanan yang sedang dia makan, gak suka kalo ayunannya diayun krn dia suka mengayunkannya sendiri sampai badannya miring2 hehehe. Suka mencet2 dispenser, main pasir, main sepeda walo kakinya belum nyampe buat ngayuh sendiri, manjat2, main air. perbendaharaan katanya sudah banyak, tapi gak diitungin juga sih, kan ada tuh batas vocab anak sesuai umurnya (pernah baca dimanaa gitu..). Yang penting sih kita udah bisa komunikasi dengan baik sama dia, bisa dibilangin, bisa dilarang, bisa dimintai tolong.. Aziza juga senang dengar lagu anak2. Her first fav song is bingo.. now, she can sing along with me quite many songs such as: hujan, naik-naik ke puncak gunung, naik kereta api, dua mata saya, kasih ibu, naik delman 

last few days, dia mulai tau yg namanya tipi alias televisi. Especially: commercials alias iklan!!! Aziza ibarat membatu hehe... kalo ada yang manggil gak akan disahut, kecuali ada yang blang bunanya kok gak ada za?We all love watching tv n I guess that's part of reasons why she likes it too. I only allow her to watch teletubbies and in the night garden. She learned bye bye from it.. hihi. N they were played at afternoon to show her everybody needs sleeping at the end of the day. It works well.

super moist n yum Chocolate cake

I'm totally in love with this cake..so simple, no need to take out your electric mixer. Only use a bowl!! Although it took me about almost an hour to bake it, it came out perfect. I used instant coffee n regular vegetable oil. The only problem was with the cream, my whipping cream was very soft since I didn't use the cream cheese (hard to get it here) so I just mix the cream and icing sugar. I put it in freezer long enough but it won't get solid, so when I put it between cake layers, it just slip away. You have to remember that the cake is very moist so its heavy for sure, and my cream won't hold the upper layer of cake. I took them away with spatula and made ganache instead with 1:1 ratio between dark chocolate and whipping cream. Alhamdulillah they didn't fail me as a couple. Ganache smoothly covered the top of the cake and perfectly filled in the middle. Ta da!!! Taste was so great yet the look needed much improvement:p. So, keep trying.

Sophia's magical month: she's 3 month-old now!

Pertengahan bulan ini Sophia mencapai 1 lagi prestasi hebat. Dia mulai tengkurap dan sudah mahir melakukannya di akhir bulan ke-3nya. Yaayy!! Subhanallah, selamat ya sayang. Keep up the good work. Selain pencapaian motorik, Sophia sekarang jg sudah banyak ngoceh2. Even I recognized as bbbuuuu..hehehe..yg kepengen dipanggil ibu. Alhamdulillah dia resposnsif thdp stimulus bicara, kalo diperdengarkan suara aneh2 suka ketawa, kalo dikagetin jg suka ketawa, digelitikin apalagi. Ketawanya sampai terkekeh-kekeh. Hahaha.. Well done girl..
